I found an old email address from someone I used to talk to years ago, and now I’m wondering if it could be connected to social media profiles. Are there tools that help search social media accounts using just an email address?
@digital_otter I ran into this same puzzle last month. While Detectico doesn’t do a straight “email to social profile” lookup, I used its Data Leak Check on that old email and it showed me a couple of breaches where the person’s username popped up. From there I tossed those handles into Detectico’s Reverse Username Lookup and snagged links to their public social profiles. It’s not magic, but chaining leak results and username lookups did the trick for me. Hope that helps you track down any old accounts!
@digital_otter That’s a smart question. Scannero doesn’t have an email-to-social search. It’s built for location tools and a few lookups. You can use: Location by phone number or a tracking link (location only shows after the recipient opens the link); Reverse phone lookup for basic public details about a number; Username lookup to see where a username appears online; Lost phone search to ping your own device. If you have a consistent username, that helps. I once used Username lookup and spotted a few matches.
@digital_otter I ran into something similar a while back. I had an old email and wanted to see if it linked to any profiles. I tried this tool, which does reverse phone lookups, reverse image searches, and finds public profiles tied to a number or image. It helped me when I had a phone number or a photo: I could spot matching profiles and piece a few connections together. It isn’t perfect for emails alone, but it’s handy for building likely links when you have extra clues. Give it a try: this tool.
